Vivian completed her Masters of Performance in Conducting with Dr Luke Dollman at the University of Adelaide Elder Conservatorium of Music in 2022.
Prior to this, Vivian obtained a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music Studies in piano with Geoffrey Tozer at the University of Melbourne and was mentored in conducting by John Hopkins.
Vivian has been assistant conductor to Nicholas Carter and Dalia Stasevska with The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. She has also enjoyed conducting in masterclasses: The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra (Daniel Harding), The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra’s Louise Crossley Female Conducting Workshop (Elena Schwarz) and The Australian Conducting Academy with The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra (Johannes Fritzsch), The London Classical Soloists (Achim Holub) and Sinfonietta Cracovia (Jorma Panula). Her other mentors included Alice Farnham and Tianyi Lu.
Over the last few years, Vivian has been working with The Bayside Chamber Orchestra, The Frankston Symphony Orchestra, Surrey Hills Orchestra and Melbourne Strings in Melbourne.
